1. What straw man arguments say: Libertarians want no regulations!!! They want everything unliscensed! They don't believe in safety!!!
2. What libertarians really mean: Liscensing schemes by the state are nothing more than a competition-reducing rent-seeking scheme. It allows the state to siphon wealth from the producing class while contributing nothing, and allows the practitioners to create barriers to entry which crowd out competition and give them greater concentrations of market control.
